    I was wondering is you researched cigar makers for the story?

    I did, Tanner, and it was easy because, in those days, the cigarmakers were trying to get more support for their unions, so they told the authorities and the newspapers about all the bad conditions for the non-union workers in the tenements. There were other kinds of child labor that were also very bad, but this one was easy to get information about.

    I can't believe I am just listening/reading this entire story! My student teacher has been using your resource guides and all. They are wonderful!

    I can't believe the connections we are making with this! Iron Ore, Silver... we are studying ROCKS & MINERALS right now! This has been perfect!
